So after 10 years, I return to Salem, Oregon for an amazing job opportunity to build a company from the ground up. It hasn’t changed to much from when I last remember it. One thing that also drew me back to this location was my family who have seemed to all flock to the Capitol City!
So here I am 10 years later, and there seems to be no great events making a stop in my town. What is going on? Since I work with a company that deals with entertainment, we threw a couple events that were successful and a couple others that just didn’t do as well.
Okay so fast forward 2 years later and I have restructured our company’s business plan to fit a new model which is MMA. Even in this industry, Salem falls short of support to keep it going while other towns like Bend, Corvallis, and Eugene have experienced great support and turn outs to their events.
After kicking off the United Nesia mov’t with my family as my team. We are in our 2nd year and working with DC Production and Bula Beverage presenting the 2nd Annual United Nesia Fest with Fiji headlining the event! And this event is in Salem, Oregon. This is one of the biggest reggae shows to grace the Capitol and we cannot fail at our attempt to produce the demand for these types of events.
I am tired of driving to Washington and Portland to catch my favorites artists and events. I want a local scene to develop and continue to grow. I want to be able to say, “Yes, Salem does have a great music scene!” This is not an impossible feat and there are other promoters with the same drive to give Salem a great name in this industry.
So I ask for your support of the 2nd Annual United Nesia Fest with Fiji, Hot Rain, Kiwini Vaitai, Siaosi, and Laga Savea with special guests! It all goes down the 3rd of July at the Red Lion Hotel (off MArket St. in Salem). It is an all ages show, doors open at 7pm, and tickets are ONLY $20! COme out and celebrate a new day for the Salem scene and enjoy an amazing Reggae/R&B artist Fiji as he comes to the town for us!
